Privacy, in plain words

What we keep

• Your name

  So the app can greet the right person and put the right name on a certificate.

• One phone number or email address

  It is how you sign in — there is no password to forget. We use it to reach you about your account, not to market at you.

• Your board, grade and language

  This is what decides which syllabus you see. Get it wrong and the whole product is wrong.

• What you study and how you do

  Which lessons you opened, which questions you answered, which concepts you have mastered. This IS the product — without it we cannot tell you what to study next.

What we never ask for

Not "we ask and promise to be careful" — there is nowhere in the system to put these, so no future decision can quietly start collecting them.

• Where you are — no GPS, no map location
• Your caste or community
• What your family earns
• The contacts in your phone
• What you do on other websites or apps

About advertising

We do not build a picture of your child and sell access to it. No advertiser can ask us to show something to "girls in Class 9 who are weak at algebra", because we will not answer that question — and for children it is locked in the system so it cannot be turned on later. We are a business and we may one day show a sponsor's name on a page. If that happens it will be chosen for the page everyone sees, not for the person reading it, and we will say so here before it appears.

What you can do about it

• See everything you have agreed to — Settings, then Privacy. Each item says what it is for, in this same language.
• Change your mind — Withdraw any optional agreement from the same screen. It takes effect straight away.
• Get a copy of your data — Ask from the Privacy screen. We send you a file of everything we hold, within 30 days.
• Delete your account — Also from the Privacy screen. Your account and learning history go, within 30 days. It cannot be undone.
